I was subtly reminded that I am not in school anymore and wasn’t supposed to take the summer off from this website.
Oops, my bad.
Fortunately, I’ve gathered lots of information from the trips I’ve taken–mistakes made, lessons learned, and tips to make travel easier especially for the light traveler.
I’ll be back shortly with the first of many tips. But let me leave you with one right now:
Eyeshades and Earplugs
Always travel with a pair of eyeshades and earplugs. I don’t know how often these saved me from poor sleep–blackout curtains that let light in, noise from other rooms, street noise, etc. Find a set you like and try them out at home before your trip. They sometimes take a few nights to get used to and it’s better to do this at home then on the road.
My personal favorites are these Moldex Comet Uncorded. Search around the net to find someplace you can buy only a few and not a few dozen at a time.
