Just last month we reported that the parent company of online booking site Expedia.com bought competitor Travelocity.

Today, Expedia bought another competing site, Orbitz, for $1.3 billion.

Expedia and its biggest competitor Priceline have both been on a buying spree over the last few years and experts don’t think it will stop anytime soon.

Jet Blue will be the first airline to allow passengers to use Apple Pay for in flight purchases. Rather than having to get out a credit card, Apple Pay users can pay electronically.

Crew members will be issued Ipad minis that will not only be equipped to accept Apple Pay payments but also give them information about the flight themselves including passenger manifests and seating charts.

Passengers will be able to start using Apple Pay later this month  with full roll out throughout March.

Perhaps it’s a reason for Apple fans to get an Iphone 6, new Ipad or Apple Watch.
