Specter Wallaby openEagle Creek sent me a sample of the Specter Wallaby for review. Like the other Specter line products, I found it to be well made, lightweight and perfect for the job. It is now my first choice as a toiletry kit for travel.  I chose one in tangerine because I figured it was the one color that would be hard to miss and leave behind.  I also like the layer of foam protection on the front and back.

For years I used Eagle Creek packing cubes, folders and sacs and have since replaced them with the lighter Specter line. They do the job and save weight. And as every one bag traveler knows–ounces count. I figure I’ve saved well over a pound in total weight by switching.

All of the above items are made of semi-translucent, 30d Silnylon Ripstop, are  water-resistant, anti-staining, washable and covered by Eagle Creek’s lifetime warranty. Most of the items are available in Tangerine, Strobe Green or White with a Strobe Green trim. Stores like Magellans, REI  and the Container Store have additional colors that are currently proprietary to them.

If you prefer the older, heavier duty Eagle Creek Pack-It items, many of those have been redesigned as well.
